Exhibit A may have been on display Thursday at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center as the Fighting Hawks, without their reigning Big Sky Conference Player of the Year setter Sydney Griffin due to injury, swept a battle-tested Northern Arizona team to remain atop the league's North Division.

Notes: UND gets nationally-ranked Beavers in opener

North Dakota opens its 2017-18 campaign at nationally-ranked Oregon State, a Friday afternoon affair with the 17th-ranked (WBCA) Beavers. UND will then play future Summit League foe South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D. on Nov. 15 in a lead-up to a Nov. 19 home opener against UMASS.

The North Dakota men's basketball made the most of a long travel day this past Tuesday by wearing their best Hawaiian duds through multiple airports as they made their way to Honolulu for the start of the 2017-18 season. Upon arrival, it's been all business for the Fighting Hawks who open the campaign Friday night against a fellow 2017 NCAA Tournament team in Troy.

GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- Lexi Klabo scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as North Dakota defeated Minnesota Crookston, 79-50, in the team's final exhibition Wednesday at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

Bijiek inks with Fighting Hawks

Head coach Brian Jones announced the addition of Jal Bijiek to the North Dakota men's basketball program on Wednesday. Bijiek signed his National Letter of Intent at North Des Moines High School where the 6-foot-9 forward starred the past two seasons for the Polar Bears.

GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- University of North Dakota head women's basketball coach Travis Brewster announced the signing of three athletes to National Letters of Intent during the first day of the early signing period. All three Minnesota products will continue their academic and basketball careers at UND beginning in the Fall of 2018.

North Dakota, already with a Big Sky Conference Tournament ticket in hand, will play its final regular season matches of the season when it hosts Northern Arizona Thursday and Northern Colorado Saturday at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. UND goes into the final week tied atop the Big Sky North Division at 10-4 and can be seeded anywhere from two to six for the upcoming league tournament.
