OGDEN, Utah-- The University of North Dakota's run in the Big Sky Conference has come to unexpected end following the softball championship tournament being cut short due to time constraints. UND was one of four teams still alive in the double-elimination tournament that was ultimately awarded to top-seeded Sacramento State following its winners' bracket victory over Northern Colorado Saturday evening.

OGDEN, Utah-- Following a lengthy rain delay that nearly reached five-and-a-half hours, North Dakota was rewarded for its patience as the Fighting Hawks prevailed, 3-2, over fifth-seeded Montana in an elimination game Friday at the Big Sky Conference Tournament. UND earned its first-ever win at the tourney in the process and advanced through the losers' bracket to play Saturday.
