A strong performance from the distance runners in the 3,000-meters and four different third-place finishes highlighted the afternoon for the University of North Dakota's women's track and field team at South Dakota State's Jim Emmerich/Alumni Invitational on Saturday.

Contruction on the athletics High Performance Center continues on the University of North Dakota campus. Last week as UND celebrated Homecoming,the facility's first roof panels were installed. Steel beams continue to rise to the south, as that part of the facility is roughly half done.
