OGDEN, Utah-- Weber State went on a quarter-ending 14-2 run and never looked back, defeating North Dakota for the first time at home, 80-69, Saturday afternoon in Big Sky Conference play. UND was led by junior Jill Morton's career-high 22 points but it was not enough as the Wildcats won for just the third time in 11 all-time meetings between the schools.

Chaves selected as UND's 16th Athletics Director

Bill Chaves is the next Athletics Director at the University of North Dakota, UND President Mark Kennedy announced Saturday, Jan. 13. Chaves, who becomes UND's 16th A.D., has been Director of Athletics at Eastern Washington University since 2007 and is a two-time recipient (2012-13 & 2015-16) of national Athletic Director of the Year honors.

Tough shooting night dooms UND in loss at Idaho State

POCATELLO, Idaho-- North Dakota made just 12 field goals and host Idaho State was able to pull out a 57-46 win Thursday evening in Big Sky Conference play at Reed Gym. UND had six three-pointers but only six two-point baskets in the loss, suffering just its third defeat in 11 chances on the Pocatello, Idaho/Ogden, Utah road trip all-time.

Montana ends pair of streaks with 54-43 win

GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- Junior Lexi Klabo scored a game-high 21 points but it wasn't enough as host North Dakota ended its 11-game home winning streak at the hands of Montana, 54-43, Thursday evening in Big Sky Conference play. The Lady Griz remained undefeated in league play with the win while the Fighting Hawks are still in search of their first conference win of the season.

GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The University of North Dakota women's basketball team has won 11 consecutive home games dating back to last season and they will look to keep that streak alive when Montana and Montana State invade the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center this weekend. UND is aiming for its first Big Sky Conference win of the season after a pair of close road losses last week.
