Five more headed to Women’s World Championship

The University of North Dakota women's hockey team earned five more representatives for the 2017 IIHF Women's World Championship as four current and former student-athletes were named to the Finnish Women's National Team: Anna Kilponen (sophomore), Emma Nuutinen (freshman), Michelle Karvinen (2011-14) and Susanna Tapani (2013-14), while former student-athlete Johanna Fallman (2012-15) was named to the Swedish Women's National Team.

Lamoureux twins named to U.S. worlds team

Former UND women's hockey standouts Monique Lamoureux-Morando and Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson will make their seventh appearance at a IIHF Women's World Championship with the U.S. Women's National Team, as USA Hockey announced its 23-member roster for the 2017 tournament on Tuesday, which included the two-time Olympians from Grand Forks.

Penalties contribute to semifinal loss vs Badgers

Minnesota and Minnesota Duluth play in the second semifinal at 5:07 p.m. on Saturday. The winners of the semifinal games will play for the championship on Sunday at 2:07 p.m.

Krzyzaniak and Houston earn All-WCHA honors

University of North Dakota senior defenseman Halli Krzyzaniak was named to the All-WCHA Second Team, while freshman forward Ryleigh Houston was named to the All-WCHA Rookie Team, the league announced Thursday. Additionally, a total of 15 student-athletes were named to the WCHA All-Academic Team.
