GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The University of North Dakota women's basketball team opens a three-game homestand Saturday against Big Sky Conference preseason favorite Northern Colorado.
OGDEN, Utah-- Weber State went on a quarter-ending 14-2 run and never looked back, defeating North Dakota for the first time at home, 80-69, Saturday afternoon in Big Sky Conference play. UND was led by junior Jill Morton's career-high 22 points but it was not enough as the Wildcats won for just the third time in 11 all-time meetings between the schools.
Bill Chaves is the next Athletics Director at the University of North Dakota, UND President Mark Kennedy announced Saturday, Jan. 13. Chaves, who becomes UND's 16th A.D., has been Director of Athletics at Eastern Washington University since 2007 and is a two-time recipient (2012-13 & 2015-16) of national Athletic Director of the Year honors.
