Chris Citowicki begins his first season as the team's associate head coach in 2017.

Citowicki came to UND after having completed his sixth season as the head coach of the Division III program at St. Catherine University in Minneapolis. Under his guidance, St. Kate’s produced its first ever all-region and academic all-region players, in addition to three All-MIAC players, 10 All-MIAC Honorable Mentions, 31 Academic All-MIAC players and one academic all-district player. Additionally, he oversaw new school records for goals against in a season, goals for in a season, individual goals in a season, assists in a season and points in a season.

Said UND head coach Chris Logan at the time of Citowicki's hiring: “At the start of this process, we met with the team and together we established that we were looking for someone who embodies everything we value at UND: a person with great passion for working with student-athletes, a love for the game of soccer, is invested in our athletes as students and as people, and overall an exceptional coach. Chris personifies all of these attributes and then some, and we are ecstatic to have a coach of his caliber join our program."

Prior to his head-coaching tenure at St. Kate's, Citowicki served as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Augsburg College in 2010. He also served as the assistant coach at Bemidji State University from 2006-08.

Citowicki has been an active member of the Olympic Development Program in Minnesota, serving as head coach for numerous girls teams. He has coached three U.S. National Pool players and multiple Region II standouts. Three of his teams have made it to the Region II Championships final.

Citowicki played professionally for several years in Australia before coming to the U.S. to attend Lock Haven University, where he graduated in 2006. He also earned a master's degree in sport studies from Bemidji State University.
