GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- Back to the Memorial Stadium turf and back to dealing with Mother Nature's continual damper on the thermometer for UND's final two practices of the Spring season. Some observations below on the second-to-last practice of the season.

*While the snow held off, a brisk wind was persistent.

*Friday's forecast (for final practice): Sunny and 68-- would be the first practice with anything close to that kind of weather.

*Chris Brown impressed with a few notable plays in third-down work. He swatted away a pass for an incomplete on a third-down play and later made a nice move to snag an interception for a score.

*Quarterbacks Ryan Bartels and Joe Mollberg each got work with the 1's.

*Rumeal Harris and Dan Konowalski each also broke up passes in early 3rd-down situational work.

*Adam Shaugabay had back-to-back strong runs, both for first downs, scampering around the right side and into the open field.

*Jer Garman scampered for a score from 30 yards out, breaking free off the left edge.

*The ball has a different sound coming off the foot of Ben Peters. He boomed several punts to Kenny Golladay and Garman, who took reps at return duty.

*Pat Sweeney of WDAZ-TV 8 will be out at Friday's practice to speak with Coaches Chris Mussman, Luke Schleusner and Josh Kotelnicki. Watch for his Spring wrap-up to follow.
