The North Dakota Strong campaign hits close to home for UND men's hockey players Mitch and Mark MacMillan.

The brothers had a grandmother pass away and two aunts diagnosed with breast cancer.

Wanting to help raise awareness and money for cancer research, Mark MacMillan has led the UND men's hockey team's effort as part of the North Dakota Strong campaign. UND will wear pink accented jerseys on Saturday night's exhibition games. The jerseys will be auctioned off on UNDsports.com/NDstrong the following week.

The brothers recently shared their story for UND Insider Weekly. Check out the feature below.

UND Insider Weekly debuts each Wednesday night on UNDsports.com and Friday on Midco Sports Net at 5:30 p.m.

North Dakota Strong is a campaign to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research during the month of October. All proceeds from this University of North Dakota Athletics fundraiser will be donated to Mayo Clinic for breast cancer research and will benefit the community of Grand Forks, including patients of Altru Health System, a proud member of the Mayo Clinic Health Network.
