GRAND FORKS, N.D. - After securing three of four Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) points last weekend against Minnesota Duluth, the University of North Dakota is ranked No. 7 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Polls, which were released earlier today.

The No. 7 ranking represents a slight dip for North Dakota (5-3-2, 3-1-2 WCHA), which had been ranked fifth in the previous USA Today poll and sixth in the previous USCHO poll.

Top-ranked Boston College retained its hold atop both polls, while Denver, New Hampshire, Minnesota and Miami rounded out the top five.

UND's upcoming opponent, Notre Dame, is ranked No. 6 in both polls. The Fighting Irish will host UND on Friday and Saturday in a non-conference series.
