KANSAS CITY -- Freshman Alexis Guggisberg turned in the best 54-hole score of her young career at the Gary Crossley Ford Kansas City Shootout, tying for 22nd and leading the North Dakota women's golf team with a score of 239 (+23).

Guggisberg turned in a final round score of 82 (+10) on Tuesday at the Shoal Creek Golf Club, while junior Mikky Kromy had her best round of the tournament to lead UND in the closing 18 holes with an 81 (+9).

Sophomore Sadie Martin matched Guggisberg with an 82 (+10) and tied for 34th in the individual standings. UND would finish in a tie for 11th with its best 54-hole score of the spring. Wichita State held on for the wire-to-wire victory in the 15-team field with a 926 (+62).  

The Shockers shot a final round 319 (+31), which was only 12 shots better than the Green and White.

UND will play next at the Big Sky Championships at the Ocotillo Golf Resort April 20-22.
