GRAND FORKS, N.D. - University of North Dakota head swimming and diving coach Steve Parsons and diving coach Brian Strom announced today that Jennifer Anklan has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Fighting Sioux starting the 2011-12 season.
"It is great to have Jennifer on board for the fall," said Parsons. "She has the potential to be a force on the boards for us throughout the 2011-12 season and it will be fun to see her develop over the next four years."
A native of Rochester, Minn., Anklan is a five-year letterwinner for John Marshall High School as a diver. A captain her senior season, she is a three-time state qualifier (2009, 2010, 2011) and a two-time state finalist (2010, 2011). During the 2008-09 season, she was named to the Asia Pacific Athletic Conference while a student at Seoul Foreign School in Seoul, South Korea.
Anklan is also a five-year letter winner in gymnastics and was captain of the team her senior year. She is involved in the John Marshall drum line and was a member of the Korean Interscholastic Activities Conference band while studying in South Korea.
