Jonesboro, Ark. - Senior Sean Halverson has been the steadiest player for the North Dakota men's golf team during the spring and that trend continued on Monday in the opening two rounds of the Arkansas State Red Wolves Intercollegiate.

Halverson turned in scores of 75 (+3) and 74 (+2) to pace UND in the first 36 holes of the tournament being played at the RidgePointe Country Club.

Junior Collin Lervick rebounded from an opening-round 83 to shoot 79 (+7) in his final 18 holes to post a 162 (+18). Freshman Nick Jenson posted a pair of 85's during his 36 holes.

Tournament host Arkansas State leads the team competition by two strokes after posting scores of 285 (-3) and 295 (+7). The Red Wolves scores of 570 was two strokes better than Belmont, who shot 10 strokes better in their second round. Illinois State had the low round of the day, posting a 283 (-5) to put itself in third.

UND wraps up the tournament with third-round play on Tuesday.
