OGDEN, Utah - Weber State showed why its one of the top teams annually in the Big Sky Conference, dealing North Dakota a 95-63 setback in league play on Saturday at the Dee Events Center. Junior Aaron Anderson scored a career-high 23 points for the visitors, but the Wildcats shot 64 percent from the field in the opening half to take a commanding 46-21 lead at the break.

While the Wildcats remained hot from the field throughout the first half, UND managed to make only five field goals in the opening 20 minutes.  Three of those came in the opening two-and-a-half minutes of play as Anderson connected on his first three shots to give the visitors a quick 7-5 lead.

The advantage would be short-lived, however, as Bamforth and company caught fire, making 12 of their first 15 attempts from the field to build the lead to 35-14.

The Wildcats (9-3) lead would never dwindle below 20 points the rest of the way as they improved to 4-0 in Big Sky play, while UND (4-9) falls to 1-3 in league action.

Weber State came in with three players averaging in double figures and that trio each exceeded their season averages led by Kyle Tresnak's 22 points. Davion Berry added 20 points, while Scott Bamforth chipped in with 19 to pace the Wildcats.

Bamforth went 5-for-8 from 3-point territory and was hot early to give his team an early boost.

Junior Troy Huff added 15 points for UND off the bench and classmate Jamal Webb finished with 10 points to put three visitors in double figures, but the squad could never overcome a sluggish start.

Anderson went 3-for-3 from the field, while the rest of the team went just 2-for-28 in the opening half. The Green and White improved their shooting in the second half, going 12-for-25 from the field, but the Wildcats never let them get back in it. Weber Staet shot 50 percent in the final stanza to finish with a 33-for-59 clip from the floor for the game (55.9 percent).

UND did make 31 trips to the foul line, sinking 26 of those attempts with Anderson leading that charge with a 10-for-10 effort. Huff went 9-for-11 from the line to give him a majority of his points.

After dominating the glass during their two-game winning streak, UND fell victim to a 46-26 advantage by Weber State in this one.  Huff paced the team with eight boards, but Joel Bolomboy led all players with 11 boards off the Wildcats' bench.

UND will return home to the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center for the start of a four-game Big Sky homestand on Thursday vs. Montana.  Tipoff against the Grizzlies is set for 7:05 p.m.
