UND falls 4-3 in close match against Drake

Des Moines, Iowa- The UND women's tennis team ended its first road trip of the season with a 4-3 loss to Drake Saturday night at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

UND earned the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Juniors Stephanie Petsis (Toronto, Ontario) and Stephanie Biehn (Sherburn, Minn.) defeated Jordan Eggleston and Klavdija Rebol by a score of 8-4. Senior Mindy Lawrence (Park Rapids, Minn.) and sophomore Callie Ronkowski (Grand Forks, N.D.) beat Nell Boyd and Ali Patterson 8-3.

Petsis and Biehn also had successful singles competitions. Petsis beat Rebol by a score of 6-0, 6-7, and 6-1. Biehn defeated Boyd 7-5, 6-7, and 10-6.

UND will travel to Nebraska-Omaha to take on the Mavericks on February 15th at 6 p.m.
