GRAND FORKS -- Check the box score of tonight's University of North Dakota women's hockey game, and you'll see a little of everything. But that won't tell the full story.

North Dakota appeared to be on its way to a 3-1 win, scoring two goals late in the third period. Minnesota Duluth answered back, tying it with two goals in the final 14 seconds, including one moments before the buzzer.

But it was UND with the final score and the 4-3 overtime win. Monique Lamoureux, who scored UND's first goal at 1:04 in the second period, delivered on a nice setup from Allison Parizek at 3:08 of the overtime.

Josefine Jakobsen scored both of UND's third period goals. The first came on a rush with Jocelyne Lamoureux. Speeding up the right side, Jakobsen sent the puck to the net, just out of reach for Lamoureux. However, UMD goaltender Kayla Black didn't play it cleanly, and the puck slipped between her legs for a 2-1 UND lead at 18:12 of the third.

"It was actually a pass," Jakobsen said. "I just wanted to get it to Jocelyne and to the net."

UMD pulled its goaltender with one minute remaining, and Jakobsen cashed in with an empty netter at 19:13. Looking to clear the puck from her own goal line, Jakobsen sent it deep and it keep rolling into the opposition's net.

"I saw the goalie was on the way out." Jakobsen said. "I just had to get the puck out, and I just shot it down the ice and it went in."

UMD didn't quit. The Bulldogs' Jamie Kenyon made it 3-2 at 19:46 of the third, sneaking behind the UND defense and potting a goal.

Then with one final rush, Katie Wilson tied it for the Bulldogs with .2 seconds on the clock. The play was reviewed by referees Ray Doocy and Jay Mendel and called good.

UND goaltender Jorid Dagfinrud made two brilliant saves on the rush, but couldn't get a third as the puck crossed the line as the buzzer souded.

UND's Jordan Slavin was tagged with an interference call amid the action, and North Dakota had to start the overtime on the penalty kill.

"We had every reason to hang out heads and feel bad for ourselves," head coach Brian Idalski said. "Instead we decided to swallow it down, fix the mess we created and grind out three points."

The Bulldogs were unable to score on the power play, as Dagfinrud was solid. At full strength, UND came back the other way and scored on its first shot of the extra frame.

Dagfinrud ended with 27 saves, while UMD's Black made 24.
