ON TAP
North Dakota men's swimming will head to California for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimming Championships Wednesday through Saturday while the divers head to Colorado Springs, Colo. for the MPSF Diving championships, Feb. 21-23. UND finished ninth last season at the meet in its first season in the conference.

ABOUT THE MPSF
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation has grown from a three-school federation into a 15-team conference in just three years. CSU-Bakersfield, Pacific and Seattle U. are all founding members of the league which formed in 2011. BYU, Hawaii, UNLV, Wyoming, Air Force and UND all joined last season. This year, Denver joins the conference to make it a 10-team championship meet. CSU Bakersfield won the title in 2011 and BYU took honors last year.

RICH GET RICHER
Junior Richard Eberle is the lone MPSF diver to be ranked in the top three in each of the diving events. He is second from the three-meter board (347.10) and third from both the one-meter (320.40) and platform (279.65). Teammates Clayton Metcalf ranks seventh (252.50) in the platform and Andrew Germain is ninth in both the one- and three-meter events.

THE NEW KID IN TOWN
Freshman Aaron Chanas-LaRue hopes to leave his mark on the MPSF championships in his first season.  He ranks fifth in the 500 freestyle (4:29.49), eighth in the 200 freeestyle (1:39.50) and 11th in the 1650 freestyle (15:52.57) heading into the meet.

BEST BREASTSTROKERS
A pair of UND athletes find themselves amongst the leaders in the 100 breaststroke times for the 2012-13 season. Adam Gannon is 10th in the event (56.85) while Austin Smith's 57.11 ranks 14th in the MPSF.
