GOODYEAR, Ariz. - Junior Nick Schaefer shot a team-leading 3-over 75 today as the University of North Dakota concluded the Washington State Snowman Getaway at the Palm Valley Golf Course.

Schaefer, a native of Grand Forks, N.D., carded UND's best score of today's third and final round and finished with a 17-over 233 (78-80-75). Schaefer and the Fighting Sioux placed 14th in the team standings with a 935 (310-317-308). UND's 308 during today's final round was its best of the tournament.

Missouri-Kansas City (877) won the tournament with a one-stroke victory over Missouri State (878).

UCLA's Mario Clemens, who competed as an individual, captured medalist honors with an eight-under 208. He edged teammate Jay Hwang by one stroke.

UND's top overall score belonged to senior Tyler Monda (Brainerd, Minn.), who carded a three-round, 16-over 232 (76-79-77) that was good for a tie for 63rd among the field of 96.

The Sioux will return to action March 12-13 at the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational, to be played at the Primm Valley Golf Course in Primm, Nev.
