Storstad nabs pair of top-4 finishes

MOORHEAD, Minn. - North Dakota junior Megan Storstad enjoyed top-4 finishes in both the javelin and hammer throw last night at the Cobber Twilight.

Storstad and teammate Brooke Biederstedt were the only Fighting Sioux competing in the meet.

A native of Grand Forks, N.D., Storstad placed second in her flight and third overall in the hammer throw with a mark of 158 feet, 8 inches. She also finished fourth in the finals of the javelin, recording a heave of 120 feet, 11 inches.

Teammate Brooke Biederstedt (Sr., Dickinson, N.D.) also advanced to the hammer throw finals and placed ninth with a mark of 124 feet, 1 inch.

The Fighting Sioux return to action May 4 at North Dakota State.
