SUGAR LAND, Texas -- The North Dakota women's golf team is in 10th place after two rounds of play at the Houston Baptist Husky Invitational at the Riverbend Country Club.
Sam Houston State, behind clubhouse leader Jackie Smith, sits atop the team standings with a 608. Smith carded a 73 in each of the first two rounds and leads Alyssa Smith of McLennan Community College by one stroke.
UND shot a 325 in the opening round and a 334 in the second round.
Junior Chivas Beaudoin was UND's top individual during the first day, tying for 28th with a 161 (78-83).
Freshman Amanda Fairweather recorded UND's top round of the day when she carded a 5-over 77 in the second round.
The third and final round gets underway on Tuesday morning.
