GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Two University of North Dakota women's hockey student-athletes have been named to Canada's National Women's Development Team, Hockey Canada announced Sunday. The team will compete in a three-game series against the Unites States 22-and-under team, Aug. 21-24, in Calgary, Alberta.

Junior forward Meghan Dufault and sophomore defenseman Halli Krzyzaniak were named to the team's roster following a 10-day selection camp. The selection camp featured 41 players and was narrowed down to 22 for the final roster.
During the camp, Dufault scored three goals in three intrasquad scrimmages.

The players named to the team will continue to train in Calgary, Alberta, before playing the U.S. in the first game of the series on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7:30 p.m. (CT). Friday's, Aug. 22, game will be played at 4 p.m., and the final game will be played on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m.

This is not the first time either Dufault or Krzyzaniak have skated for Team Canada, as both have been members of the Canadian National Women's Under-18 team; with Krzyzaniak most recently skating for the gold-medal winning squad at the 2013 IIHF Women's U-18 World Championship.

Following the three-game series, Hockey Canada will continue to evaluate the players with their club and college teams during the 2014-15 season, in preparation for selecting the roster that will compete at the 2015 Meco Cup next January in Germany.
