Dryburgh's main responsibilities include scouting opponents, film exchange, game day video, post-play individual workouts, and hiring student managers and practice players. He also assists with recruiting, alumni outreach and summer camps.

Dryburgh served as director of operations for the men's basketball team at UND after spending the previous four years as a graduate student manager. He helped guide North Dakota to back-to-back Great West Conference Tournament championships in each of his final two seasons on the staff.

He also played for UND during the 2006-07 season as a junior, but a back injury prevented him from playing his senior season in 2007-08. Dryburgh had transfered to UND after playing two seasons at North Dakota State College of Science.

Dryburgh earned a bachelor's degree in social science from UND in 2008 and a master's degree in educational leadership from UND in the spring of 2011. He and his wife, Sherri, have a son, Austin, and a daughter, Sophia.
