The countdown to UND football is on. With 69 days and counting to the start of the University of North Dakota football season, UNDSports.com is here every Friday with updates, news and other fun items to get ready for the year.

Memorial Stadium, home of the University of North Dakota football team since the 1920s, is the most historic athletics building on the UND campus. It boasts a rich and colorful history that continues today.

Inside its historic walls, the locker room was upgraded this spring, highlighted by new lockers. Assistant coach Benny Boyd took us inside the locker room for this week's Football Friday video.

The team will eventually move its headquarters to the in progress UND Athletics High Performance Center. The lockers were built to make the move as well.

UND's season opens against Valparaiso on Aug. 29. It's one of seven home games at the Alerus Center for UND, which features Montana, Montana State, South Dakota State, Eastern Washington and more. Get your tickets today.
