VERMILLION, S.D.-- Four different UND men had multiple wins Saturday as North Dakota won 11 events in a 173-127 win over South Dakota at the DakotaDome. Freshman Aaron Chanas-LaRue took three individual titles on the afternoon to pave the way for North Dakota.

UND won a pair of relays and also got multiple wins from Adam Gannon, George Philbin and diver Drew Germain in the convincing dual win.

"Aaron turned in another great day of swims," UND head coach Steve Parsons said. "We are really looking forward to seeing what he does tapered. George Philbin had a real nice swim in the 800 free and put up a strong swim in the 100 Free-- both were key to the win today. Wes Schultz had an impressive swim in the 200 breaststroke, an event he has not swam much this season. The relay capped off the swims with a dominating performance leading from start to finish. Andrew Germain had a heck of a weekend of diving.  He is diving well and it is coming at the right time of the season! Overall a solid weekend of competitions. I thought we handled the travel demands well and it was nice to walk away with the wins today!"

Germain's performance was his best of the season and head diving coach Brian Strom took notice: "It was Andrew's best day of season with Clayton Metcalf improving every meet," he said. "We need to work on consistency and finishing every dive."

North Dakota will head to Brookings, S.D. next Saturday for its final dual of the 2012-13 season. UND will dual SDSU before prepping for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation meet.
