Midco Sports Network presents UND Football FanFest

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - With the 2012 season opener just over a week away, fans will have the opportunity to meet the University of North Dakota football team on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the first annual UND Football FanFest presented by Midco Sports Network.

The event, which is free to the public, takes place from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. at Memorial Stadium following practice. All UND players and coaches will be available to sign autographs, and fans will also have their first chance to receive a 2012 UND football poster, as well as various other giveaways courtesy of Midco Sports Network. Free meals will also be provided to approximately the first 500 fans through the doors courtesy of Midco Sports Network.

Kids can register for the Jr. Champions (formerly Sioux Kids Club), and booths providing information for the North Dakota Champions Club, Midco Sports Network and the UND Ticket Office will also be available.

Fans may park free of charge in the lots directly west and north of Memorial Stadium.

The UND football team opens the 2012 season, its first as a member of the Big Sky Conference, on Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Alerus Center against the South Dakota School of Mines. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. Central.
