Detroit Lakes, Minn. - The North Dakota women's golf team dealt with blustery conditions on Friday to take part in the one-day Cobber Open hosted by Concordia College at the Wildflower Golf Club. Senior Robin Hutchinson (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) returned to her home town for the tournament and came away as the top finisher for UND with an 82 (+10).

Hutchinson tied for ninth, which helped UND post a score of 336 (+48) and tie for third in the 18-hole event. North Dakota State (307, +19) won the team title, while Southwest Minnesota State (332, +44) took second.

"It was a tough day to play golf," UND head coach Natalie Martinson said. "The winds were strong, but those are situations where our team will have to learn to fight through adversity and realize every golfer on the course is dealing with the same conditions."

Freshman Abbie Mozzetti (Hugo, Minn.) continued to be one of the top scorers for Martinson early in the season as she carded an 84 (+2), while senior Shantel Montgomery (Minot, N.D.) and sophomore Mikayla Kromy (Grand Rapids, Minn.) accounted for UND's final two scores with respective scores of 85 (+13).

UND will return to action early next week in the two-day event at Green Bay. First round action of the Green Bay Invitational is set for Monday.
