Nebraska City, Neb. - A trio of upperclassmen paced the North Dakota men's golf in the opening two rounds of the Fairway Club Invitational played Monday at the Arbor Links Golf Course. Seniors Alex Robb (Chanhassen, Minn.) and Nick Schaefer (Grand Forks, N.D.) along with junior Sean Halverson each had a two-round totals of 157 (+13) after 36 holes of action in their season-opening rounds.

Robb had the lowest round of the day for UND with a 76 (+4) in his second dose of 18 holes. Schaefer posted a 77 (+5) in his first round, while Halverson duplicated that feat in his second round.

UND (633, +57) stands in 11th place after the first two rounds with host Nebraska in the lead with a 598 (+22). The Huskers lead South Dakota State by two strokes after the Jackrabbits shaved 20 strokes off their score from the first round to the second round (310-290; +24).

Sophomore Collin Lervick posted the fourth score for UND with a 162 (+18). He opened his day with an 80 (+8) and followed it up with an 82 (+10).

UND will conclude the 54-hole event on Tuesday with the third and final round.
