Sioux Falls, S.D. - The North Dakota men's golf team stands in fifth place after completing the first two rounds of the Jackrabbit Invitational on Sunday at the Minnehaha Country Club. This is the first Division I golf tournament ever hosted on South Dakota soil.

Senior Alex Robb (Chanhassen, Minn.) opened with a 71 (+1) and followed with a second-round 76 (+6) to pace UND on day one. Robb is in eighth place in the individual standings, while classmate Nick Schaefer (Grand Forks, N.D.) is only two strokes behind in 13th. Schaefer fired rounds of 74 (+3) and 75 (+4) and is coming off a second-place finish at the Erv Kaiser Invitational.

North Dakota State leads the men's team race after opening with a 579 (+19). Tournament host South Dakota State is only five strokes behind the Bison. UND was in a tie for fourth after its opening round 297 (+17), but posted 10 extra strokes in round two to fall to fifth (297 + 307 = 604).

Sophomore Collin Lervick (Chanhassen, Minn.) is tied for 20th after opening what is UND's final tournament of its fall schedule. Lervick shot a 75 in his opening 18 holes, then closed with a 77.
