VERMILLION, S.D.-- North Dakota used nine first-place individual finishes to race past host South Dakota 163-137 Saturday afternoon at the DakotaDome.  Freshman Caitlin Quon had a pair of wins to lead UND.

"We moved our line up around a bit from what we normally like to go with and the ladies really stepped it up," UND head coach Steve Parsons said. "Morgan Lynch had a good swim in the 200 free. Madeline Smith and Ali Church have continued to impress in the distance events. Camille Merwin raced well in the 200 breaststroke, it was nice to see her efforts paying off. Kelsey Richels had probably the best swim of the day in 100 free. She swam that race about as well as I have ever seen her swim it.

"The women divers continue to improve. Jen Anklan just keeps getting better with each outing. Rachael Waldbillig just needs some consistency. We expect big things from both moving forward. We are real close to resting at this point and one dual meet left. We are looking forward to going head to head with South Dakota State next weekend."

It was the second dual meet for UND against South Dakota this season as North Dakota took out the Coyotes, 155-133 back on Oct. 20 at Hyslop Pool.

North Dakota will face SDSU in Brookings, S.D. next Saturday in its final meet of the regular season in prep for the WAC Championships Feb. 27- Mar. 2 in San Antonio, Tex.
