Bears clip Fighting Hawks in dual action

GREELEY, Colo. – The University of North Dakota women’s tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss in Big Sky Conference dual action on Sunday afternoon.

North Dakota won two singles matches and one doubles match, but were unable to come away with the win and fall to 3-3 in Big Sky play.

Despite the loss, senior Faith Lee went undefeated on the day, winning the No. 1 doubles match with partner Preethi Kasilingam, before going on to win her No. 4 singles match, 6-4, 6-4. Lee has now won five-consecutive singles matches and is 8-2 in her last 10.

Freshman Alex Revenig picked up the other singles match for UND, winning the No. 5 match, 6-4, 6-4, as she remains undefeated in Big Sky singles action this year.

Kasilingam was the only Fighting Hawk to force a third set after winning the second set of her No. 2 singles match.

North Dakota remains in the Centennial State for two more duals, taking on Colorado Pueblo on Monday, March 13, and Air Force on Tuesday, March 13.
