GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Senior defenseman Halli Krzyzaniak took the next big step to her Olympic debut, being named to the Canadian National Women's Team Olympic Centralization Roster, Hockey Canada announced Thursday.

Krzyzaniak has been a three-year member of the Canadian National Women's Team, but was not part of the team that won gold at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

The defenseman from Neepawa, Manitoba just finished her career at UND, in which she finished third all-time at UND in career points by a defenseman with 58. Krzyzaniak earned All-WCHA Second Team honors this season after leading the UND D-corps with 18 points and a +15 plus/minus rating.

The roster is composed of 28 players that will train in Calgary throughout the 2017-18 season in preparation for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. The 28-member roster will be trimmed to a final 23-player roster in late December.
