GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of North Dakota women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 loss in the Big Sky Conference dual action on Friday evening.

In doubles play, WSU got out to a strong start by winning the No. 1 match 6-2 and No. 2 match 6-3 to clinch the first point on the day. UND ended up winning the No. 3 doubles match 7-5, respectively.

Despite the team loss, Freshman Carmen Palumbo and Junior Preethi Kasilingam were victorious. Palumbo winning the No. 1 singles match 6-1, 6-3 and Kasilingam winning the No. 3 match 6-2, 6-3.

North Dakota returns to action 9:00am on Sunday against Eastern Washington at Choice Health & Fitness.
