McKynsay Vanderpan serves as the head athletic trainer for the UND women's hockey team and has done so in each of the team's 12 years of existence. She also served as the team's strength and conditioning coordinator from 2010-15.
Vanderpan graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a minor in health education, and added a master's degree in instructional design and technology from UND in 2004.
Vanderpan worked extensively with all UND Athletics teams as an undergraduate, working specifically with football, swimming and diving, soccer, track and field and softball.
A native of Burnsville, Minn., Vanderpan is married to former UND football player Matt Vanderpan. They have a daughter, Clara.
