OMAHA, Neb.-- Host Nebraska-Omaha used three big innings to post a 13-2 win over North Dakota Saturday afternoon in the finale of a three-game series. UND is now 2-2 on its Spring Break trip and will head to Wichita State and Creighton to complete the itinerary.

"Not a great day for us, we didn't do what we needed to get the sweep," UND head coach Jeff Dodson said. "We didn't swing the bats well when we had a chance to sweep the series."

Omaha (1-6) got out to a quick 3-0 lead in the second inning as each of the first four batters reached base in that frame. UND (7-4-1) got one back in the top of the next inning on Jacob Threlkeld's sacrifice fly to score Patrick Vandoorne.

North Dakota scored another run in the fifth inning to close within one at 3-2, but Omaha answered with a five-spot in the bottom of that frame to take control. UND's run came on a one-out double by Sam Alt, who eventually scored on a passed ball for the second North Dakota tally.

Ben Clark-- who was pushed into an emergency role out of the bullpen after starter Jeff Campbell threw to just one batter due to injury-- threw 3.2 innings with three runs and four hits allowed.

UND had four hits in the game, all coming from the bottom of the order. Tyler Follis, Alt, Vandoorne and Patrick Riewer all registered hits for North Dakota.

UND will head to Wichita State for a two-game series on Tuesday and Wednesday. The trip concludes Thursday at T.D. Ameritrade Ballpark against host Creighton.
