North Dakota blanked by Eastern Washington

Cheney, Wash. - The North Dakota men's tennis team was shut out by Eastern Washington by a score of 7-0 at the Jim Thorpe Fieldhouse on Tuesday afternoon.

Eastern Washington won the doubles point. In No. 2 doubles, juniors Grant Bakke (Bismarck, N.D.) and Ryan McGuigan (Fargo, N.D.) were defeated in a close match against Aaron Lince and Eduardo Bringold by a score of 8-6. Freshman Will Biernat (Eagan, Minn.) and sophomore Joe Lee (Grand Forks, N.D.) lost to Kyle Koetje and Tomas Araguiz by a score of 8-0 in No. 3 doubles.

UND was also held scoreless in singles competition.  

North Dakota is now 1-5 on the season.

The team will look for its first Big Sky Conference win tomorrow afternoon against Portland State.
