YANKTON, S.D. – Junior Jesse Fenstermacher won the 400-meter dash today to lead North Dakota at the Dakota Duals hosted by the University of South Dakota.

Fenstermacher, a Hibbing, Minn., native, crossed the line in 49.41 seconds to defeat runner-up Christian Nielsen of South Dakota by more than a full second.

UND also received runner-up performances from Jimmy Evers (Fr., Grand Forks, N.D.) and Jordan Fisk (Jr., Langdon, N.D.).

Evers was second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.19 seconds. Teammate John LeClerc (Fr., Grafton, N.D.) was right behind in third place with a time of 15.26. Fisk was the runner-up in the pole vault after clearing 4.75 meters (15 feet, 7 inches).

UND returns to action next Saturday at North Dakota State.
