GRAND FORKS, N.D. --- The University of North Dakota softball team’s home opener against Big Sky Conference foe Southern Utah, scheduled for today at 2 p.m., has been canceled due to inclement weather and field conditions.

UND’s doubleheader against the Thunderbirds on Saturday is still set for an opening pitch of 1 p.m. The fields at LaFave Park in East Grand Forks will be reevaluated throughout the evening today and morning tomorrow and all efforts will be made to get the games in.

North Dakota’s game today was scheduled to the first of a 10-game home stand spanning until April 23.
