UND falls to Idaho State in Big Sky Conferece play

POCATELLO, Idaho – The North Dakota men’s tennis team was defeated by Big Sky Conference opponent Idaho State by a score of 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the Reed Gym.

Idaho State earned the doubles point after winning the first two matches. The final doubles match was not finished.

The Bengals continued to play strong throughout singles play, winning all six matches.

Junior Ryan McGuigan (Fargo, N.D.) had a close match against Idaho State’s Krzysztof Stempien in No. 3 singles. Stempien won the first set by a score of 6-2, but McGuigan fought back to even the match with a 6-3 victory. Stempien won the final set with a score of 6-4, to earn the point.

UND will travel to Ogden, Utah to play Weber State on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m.
