Ogden, Utah – The North Dakota men’s tennis team lost to Weber State on Saturday afternoon by a score of 6-1 in Big Sky Conference play.

“We just got outgunned and had a lot of trouble adjusting to the wind and altitude,” head coach Tom Wynne said.  “They were a better team, but we could have been a bit more consistent."

Weber State won the doubles point, winning each of the three matches.

Freshman Connor Oberle (Excelsior, Minn.) was the lone singles winner for North Dakota. Oberle defeated Weber State’s Caio Poitena in the first match 7-5, but Poitena evened the match with a second set victory of 6-4. Oberle won the match and the third set 7-6 in No. 4 singles.
