NEW ORLEANS, La.-- North Dakota rolled through Texas State Friday evening, 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-12) at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Classic hosted by Tulane University. UND went 2-0 on the day.

UND shrugged off a 4-0 start by the Lady Tigers in the first set to take a 25-16 victory. With the score 11-10 TSU, freshman Anna Pioske tallied kills on three straight points to put North Dakota in control for good.

The second set saw Lexi Robinson generate four kills in a 12-2 run to start the frame and UND never looked back, winning 25-13 to take a stranglehold on the match. A kill by Nikki Husfeldt had the score at a commanding 22-9 then later Husfeldt was in on a block with Lisa Parlich for a 24-9 score before UND eventually closed it out.

In the third set, another quick start got North Dakota out to a 9-3 headstart forcing a TSU timeout. Robinson had four straight kills in the sequence and Husfeldt and Ronni Munkeby blocked the ninth point in the solid start. That lead would grow to 18-6 with the final point coming on a Munkeby service ace to exhaust the Lady Tigers' other timeout in the set. UND put the set and the match away on Emily Asche's kill for a 25-12 score.

Robinson led all players with 12 kills while Pioske chipped in 11 and Parlich added nine for North Dakota. Husfeldt tallied 34 assists in the win.

North Dakota (3-6) takes on the host Green Wave Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the finale of the tournament.
