The UND Drive Blog will provide an inside look at the 2011 Fighting Sioux fall camp that began on Wednesday, Aug. 3. Before UND can begin its first official drive of the season vs. Drake on Sept. 1, the team will spend 29 days on a different kind of a drive as the Sioux will work hard to reach the common goal of being the best-prepared team at the Alerus Center on the evening of Sept. 1 against the Bulldogs and each subsequent game that follows.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The UND scout team was donning royal blue practice jerseys on Monday to help simulate one of Drake's uniform color. The Bulldogs will wear white jerseys with the royal blue trim during Thursday night's opener, but for the Fighting Sioux seeing any different color of jersey was a nice change. 

Another nice change was the team's practice venue as the Fighting Sioux moved over to their true home field for this week's final three practices. Senior captain Dan Hendrickson (Minot, N.D.) said it always adds a little energy to practice when the team is at the Alerus Center.

For offensive coordinator Greg Breitbach, it gives his side of the ball a chance to adjust to the different lighting and gives the players a chance to get their feet under them since the indoor surface is a little different from the field turf at Memorial Stadium.

Hendrickson, his co-captain Catlin Solum (Fargo, N.D.), Breitbach and defensive coordinator Mike Mannaussau all commented after practice about being back indoors in the linked video.

News and Notes
-Head coach Chris Mussman participated on the Great West Conference weekly coaches' press conference earlier today and also appeared on the Tim and Swyg show on 1440 AM at 7:35 this morning.  That will be a weekly occurence on Mondays for the fourth-year head coach as will an appearance on WDAY Radio in Fargo at 11:35 a.m.
-On Tuesdays, the head coach will join host Rick Anthony weekly on ESPN 710AM at 10:30 a.m.
