GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- University of North Dakota tennis coach Tom Wynne announced today the team's 2012 schedule.

The Fighting Sioux will open the season in early Feburary with a trip to Iowa, facing Drake in Des Moines (Feb. 3) and Northern Illinois (Feb. 4) and Northern Iowa (Feb. 5) in Waterloo.

UND returns home for three home matches in the middle of February. The Sioux will face South Dakota State and St. Cloud State on Friday, Feb. 17, then will host Creighton on Sunday, Feb. 18. All three matches will take place at Center Court Fitness Club.

The month of February comes to a close with a match at Nebraska Omaha (Feb. 24), and a neutral-site tilt with Arkansas Little Rock (Feb. 25) in Lincoln, Neb.

UND's annual Spring Break trip is scheduled for March 9-15, with matches in Orlando against Saint Joseph's, Radford, Florida A&M, Marist, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Southern Illinois, and the finale at Bethune Cookman in Daytona Beach.

Following the Florida trip, UND will travel to Las Vegas from March 22-24 for matches against Seattle, Idaho State, San Jose State and Southern Utah.

The season will culminate at the 2012 Great West Conference Championship, hosted by Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. The Sioux have been the runners-up at each of the last two GWC Championships.
