GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Fighting Sioux football staff held its annual Divide and Conquer Spring Game Draft on Monday morning as the players were selected to their respective Green and White squads.
Defensive coordinator Mike Mannausau will lead the Green team along with wide receivers coach Luke Schleusner, secondary coach Benny Boyd and tight ends coach Jeff Richter. “I am very excited about the roster we have put together for the Green Team,” Mannausau said. “We have a good nucleus of veteran players and some exciting young players that the fans will get to see for the first time.”
Mannausau’s Green Team won the inaugural Divide and Conquer clash last season 33-15. Offensive coordinator Greg Breitbach will be looking for revenge this spring as he leads the White team once again. Joining him on staff are linebackers coach Josh Kotelnicki and running backs coach Danny Freund.
“I really like our team,” Breitbach said. “We have a veteran presence on the defenslive line and at running back along with two senior quarterbacks. We are young at some of the skill positions, but this is the type of opportunity where young players can step up and really impress the coaching staff.”
The teams will also have special alumni coaches and media captains that will be announced on Tuesday.

All participating players were divided equally among the two teams, but there could be some players switching teams throughout the game due to depth concerns. The punting and placekicking specialists will work with both teams during the Spring Game.
