A native of Park Rapids, Minn., came to UND in 1990. Suchy was one of the top runners on the UND track and field team. Suchy received All-American honors as UND finished fifth at the NCAA Division II national indoor track meet. This was UND's top finish in school history. Suchy was constantly setting and breaking records. She broke the 500-meter North Central Conference indoor record by running it in one minute, 15.85 seconds.
