GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- The University of North Dakota athletic department announced today that next Tuesday's volleyball match at rival North Dakota State will be broadcast live on KKXL-AM 1440 and WDAY-AM 970. It will be the first road volleyball contest on the UND radio network.

"We're excited about the match-up with rival NDSU and happy to announce that fans can tune-in all throughout the Red River Valley," UND head volleyball coach Ashley Hardee said. "Our television, radio and Big Sky TV coverage is huge for us in recruiting as we continue to build our program to be among the best in Division I."

Tuesday's broadcast brings the total number of volleyball matches on the radio this season to four. Home matches against Green Bay, Montana State and Northern Colorado were all aired on the UND radio network with play-by-play man Paul Ralston handling the call. Catch Tuesday's pre-game show starting at 6:45 p.m. on KKXL while both stations will broadcast the match beginning at 7:00 p.m.

North Dakota won a thrilling four-set affair over the Bison last season at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Both 2011 squads finished in the top 52 in RPI in NCAA Division I.
