Tempe, Ariz. - The North Dakota softball team was defeated 8-0 by Arizona State on Saturday evening at Farrington Field.
For the second night in a row, the third-ranked Sun Devils got on the scoreboard early in the game. Arizona State scored eight unanswered runs in the first inning.
"One call and that's a completely different ball game," head coach Eric Oakley said. "That being said, this was always going to be the tough part of our schedule. Tomorrow is another day."
UND now has a record of 2-7 and Arizona State remains unbeaten with a 19-0 record.
North Dakota will look for its first wins of the Wilson/DeMarini Invitational against Binghamton and North Carolina tomorrow morning at Farrington Field.
