OGDEN, Utah – Junior Troy Huff collected his third Big Sky Player of the Week accolade on Monday as league officials announced the weekly honor. Huff, who is the first player to earn three weekly honors this season, averaged 26 points, four rebounds and three steals per game as UND earned its first ever road sweep in Big Sky play with wins over Portland State and Eastern Washington.

Huff scored 18 points with four rebounds and four steals in Thursday’s 74-66 victory over Portland State. He had 14 of those points in the second half and connected on back-to-back 3-pointers to quickly push a one-point lead to a seven-point in lead midway through the final 20 minutes.

On Saturday, Huff scored a career-high 34 points as UND beat Eastern Washington 78-74 to move to 11-8 in conference play and clinch a bid in the postseason tournament. Huff scored UND’s first 15 points and netted 20 points in the first seven minutes.

Huff finished the first half with 24 points. His 34 points are the second-most by a Big Sky player this season. Huff also had four rebounds and two steals.

This is Huff’s third Player of the Week honor this season. He also earned the honor on Dec. 31 and Jan. 21.
