Wysocki paces North Dakota at season-opener

FARGO, N.D. – Junior Erin Wysocki placed fifth among 46 runners today as North Dakota opened the cross country season with three duals at North Dakota State’s Bison Open.

Wysocki, a native of Grand Forks, N.D., completed the 4K course at Rose Creek Golf Course in 14 minutes, 55.60 seconds.

UND dropped duals to South Dakota, South Dakota State and the host Bison.

Sophomore Lydia Lutz (Park Rapids, Minn.) and junior Jessica Lindsay (Grand Forks, N.D.) gave UND a trio of runners in the top 18, placing 16th and 18th, respectively.

UND returns to action Friday, Sept. 6, at the University of Minnesota’s Oz Memorial.
