GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Fans will not want to miss the collection guest speakers scheduled for Friday's UND Fan Luncheon at the Alerus Center. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon gets underway at noon on the councourse level.

Legendary Northern State collegiate basketball coach and motivational speaker Don Meyer highlights the lineup. Neither a near-fatal car accident - which claimed most of a leg - nor a diagnosis of inoperable cancer could keep him away from the game he loves. His insights on leadership, spirituality, faith and work ethic are the centerpiece of his speeches which he makes to numerous groups and athletic teams across the country.

Meyer retired in 2010 as the winningest coach in collegiate men's basketball history.

In addition to Meyer, fans will also hear from UND President Dr. Robert Kelley, head volleyball coach Ashley Hardee, women's hockey coach Brian Idalski, football coach Chris Mussman, men's hockey coach Dave Hakstol, and Vermont head men's hockey coach Kevin Sneddon.

UND Fan Luncheons are held every week of a home football or men’s hockey game. For just $10, fans can enjoy a buffet-style meal, including beverages and dessert, and listen to a variety of UND head coaches, student-athletes and administrators. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at noon.
