GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- Associate head coach J.C. Field's team combined great pitching and a big first inning to capture the sixth-annual Blue Moose Classic World Series Sunday with a 3-0 win at Kraft Field. Field's team took the best-of-five series, three games to one.

Patrick Riewer started and picked up the win by allowing only three hits in his four innings of work.  Ellery Bresnahan picked up the save by tossing two innings and striking out three for Field's squad in the intrasquad scrimmage.

Team Field collected all three of its runs off starter Ben Clark of assistant coach Brian DeVillers' team.  Sam Alt drove in two runs with a bases loaded single to left field to put his team on top for good.

A.J. Anderson settled things down on the mound for Team DeVillers by tossing 3.2 shutout innings while only allowing one hit.

The Blue Moose Classic marks the end of team practice for the UND baseball team as it will now prepare to finish out the semester with individual skill work.
